Want color roll-over image to popup

I have an image gallery of custom made items. I followed the Xara WD5 tutorial on making photo roll-over effects with gray scale and color images.

I can get the the gray scale and color roll-over effect to work fine. However, when I click on the color roll-over image, I want the color roll-over to popup in the new 500pix window.

When I do the photo popup link to a new window, all I can get is the gray scale photograph, not the color.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

In the attached example the monochrome pic is set to pop up a colour version on mouseover. The colour version is set to pop up photo.

Attached is a screen shot of my settings. I am wondering if my error is in setting up the original photo or the monochrome... a event sequence issue?

I have tried to export both formats and I get a "Spurious internal error has occurred" and it shuts down.

What do I need to do to get you the files?

You don't need to export, just "file >> save as".

Your first screenshot shows a popup photo.
I don't think this is what you want.
If you need the thumbnail image to open a full size image when the cursor 'rolls-over' it, then you must use layers and mouse-over triggers.

See attached for what I mean (DW5 file).
This is similar to what Drwyd is trying to say.

I am on the road right now, but will take a look when I get back to the office.

What I am trying to do is:

1. Make all the images monotone (per the tutorial).
2. When they mouse-over, they automatically see the color thumbnail photo.
3. If they like the color thumbnail photo, they can click to get a full size color popup.

Does this make sense?


I don't want the full size color photos to automatically popup when they mouse-over, as it might be a bit too "active" for the user... rather than "selective"... Hope I have explained it better.
