ok it was an option - if you chose to take a CD of Gary's workbooks an stuff too you got a box.. maybe UK only, don't know..

a big box for just 2CD's and a shortcut card really

[the box currently has two knackered IDE HDDs in it awaiting responsible disposal ]

Is that a metaphor for going to town on them with a sledgehammer, as is recommended by the information security people these days?

I cannot sing 'em in the bin - I must take them to the proper recycling point [or pay to have them collected] - this is the regulation here

it's a 'roundtuit' job - and yes, they will be 'deactivated' first, though less violently than you suggest, when the load gets big enough

on topic - we do not yet have a CD....

My P&GD6 came in a DVD style case in a jiffy bag, but the DP6 CDs and shortcut reference card were in paper CD sleeves within a jiffy bag.

@sledger - Steve you got X¹ after it was initially released, if I remember correctly. It was available in a boxed version when first released, extra shipping costs over the sleeved only version.

Yes I did Bill. But I didn't receive the sleeved versions. Discs came in a DVD case in a jiffy bag.

Yes, I remember AntonyF asking about DVD cases about the time X¹ was released. Perhaps once that decision was made new orders of X¹ were shipped in the case.

I got mine yesterday too. Came in paper envelopes with the manual inside a box, in a Jiffy bag. Although Canada Post (or Royal Mail) managed to mangle the box .... XX5 and XX4 came in DVD cases, and XX3.2 came in a CD jewel case.
