    Default Menu, vertical offset problem

I have a website with a horizontal menu. I want the drop down sub menu to appear a little below main menu (10 pix). But, if go over a value of 1 in the vertical offset field (menu style) the sub menu closes when the mouse passes over the offset space. How do I get this to work right? I'm sure there is way since this option is available.

I have requested that this be corrected in a future update.

Only the buttons are linked not the extra space before the buttons appear. So as soon as you pass from the main menu button to the fly out button, the link is dropped.

Not sure what to offer as a work-around.
