Default Double-Click Behaviour is Really Annoying

This new behaviour of double-clicking an object to edit it is driving me nuts. Whenever I want to rotate an object, I have to select it, count to three then click it again to get the rotation handles up. I've tried to get used to it but I just can't. Can we please get rid of it or change it to ALT+Click or something?

It really isn't anywhere near as long as having to count to three. It's a slow double click instead of the fast double click we have in XX5. And the bonus is that the fast double click brings up in most cases a handy context-sensitive option which, I have found, is a useful feature. I quite like the new change. I have gotten used to it and find the advantages outweight the disadvantages.

you can rotate it by moving your cursor to just inside the boundary handle, when the cursor will change to rotation/skew mode

you can set the origin point on the info bar without being in rotation mode too

one thing you cannot do this way though is move the origin point manually...

Ah who cares? You just have to get used to this. It's ain't bad and I find it useful.

May I remind everyone that the Dear Xara forums are not for discussion. If you agree with a request then post that you agree.

If you disagree please refrain from posting. Post count within a thread should indicate the number of people that support a request.

At this point there are 3 unnecessary posts within this one thread.

No change in policy, that was John's opinion about posting, not the original intent of the Dear Xara forums.

If the moderators can't agree about how the forums are used, then you can hardly be surprised by how plebs like us use the forum.

I think that expressing a negative view for a particular feature is probably as valid as a positive one and may well comply with the original intent - to find features that the user base would like to see incorporated.

Yes, my post may be OT, but also entirely relevant.
