    Default Non web fonts

Someone in another newsgroup pointed us to the following sites
    http://code.google.com/apis/webfonts...g_started.html
    and http://www.fontburner.com/fonts/
Both of these sites provide code to link to css on line that allows you do have very fancy fonts.
I haven't tried it but I thought this group would be interested.

    Thanks for the links Grace.

It is pretty easy just to group non-web fonts so they export as bitmaps however and on a computer monitor, it is really not possible to tell the difference with the exception that HTML type can be copied and pasted.

    IMHO.

It might make a difference in load time on graphics intensive sites for those poor souls still on dial-up!

I'd imagine it could make a difference in searchability too, but if you are at the point where you are going to code to the degree where you would be embedding this sort of API, you would probably know the million ways to substitute fonts for words and still keep the words.

    Just FWIW
