    Default Treasurer Island Adventure

Hi everyone, Here is my rendition of drawing a compass. This was inspired by the peace that Black Panther did with the Golden compass. I like this type of drawing, I find them very interesting.

I am posting two images. The first one has to bitmap images in it. The treasure map in the background and the reflection of the ship in the glass. The second image is my attempt at drawing the bitmap objects in vector graphics.

I'm interested in finding out your thoughts between the two images.

    Thank you for your input.

Thumbs up Re: Treasurer Island Adventure

Well Paul, great work and another version of the compass Tutorial, well the different between both image you will see it in the shiny and the contrast of the image with Bitmap fill, the vector image you will see it a little lighter i mean the background, then the resultion of both xar file, the xar file with the bitmape fill is bigger than the xar file with vector objects.
Anyway, you did a great job. and i like your version of the compass Tutorial.
    Best Regards BP

Thank you everyone. I appreciate your comments. I am enjoying working with the new graphic designer. It is a fabulous program. I want to thank everyone here on TG for your support. And a special thanks to Black Panther for taking an interest in me. I have owned Xara software for years. I was fascinated by the high quality of artwork that could be created in the software. I made several attempts at trying to learn the program with minimal results. It's only been a few months since I've joined TG so you can judge the results for yourself. I am so thankful that I'm able to express myself artistically through this software and from the help of the people on this forum.

    Thank you all,

    Paul

These compasses are truly fantastic, Paul. I agree with Gary, it is really fun to watch you all do these fantastic compasses and glass casings. Thank you.

Thank you ontos. This has been a grand roller coaster ride for me. I never expected to be doing this kind of work this fast. I'm looking forward to share additional projects with everyone. I really enjoy the challenges that are put up on the forum. I would recommend to everybody to participate. It doesn't matter what level you're at because everyone here helps you grow.

Yes LongShot. Go through the tutorials and do what you can. If you run into any problems just post them and someone will help. If you're doing cartooning, you may want to try the bottle of gel tutorial. It's a lot of drawing the lines and then shading and filling with color. It's a fantastic tutorial. They are all fantastic tutorials.
