Default Is it time to categorize my website

I'm working on designing my website and I've been working from one file. Well, it is accumulating a lot of pages, and it is getting very difficult to type words on the pages. Should I just have each category on a different page, and export to a separate file? Then combine all the files on the ftp site? Well, I guess I should try it, instead of writing about it. I guess I just wanted some advice before I tackle the task.
I want to still be working in this program when I'm an old man sitting in my recliner.

Depending on your computer speed/memory, a large site can slow things down.

What I like to do is create several mini-websites and add each mini-site to its own folder. And each folder has its own index.html file.

For example, say that one of the mini-websites is a Gallery. I name the folder gallery and the home page in the folder is index.html.

On the main site, I link the gallery button to www.mysite.com/gallery

This is more work than having everything on one site but it works seamlessly.

Thanks, it seems to be working fine so far and there is no lag time in typing within the file. I had the xara file at 3500 mb It works much better at 1500.

I really think you mean KB not MB ..... 3500 MB is HUGE!
