Default 21px is "beyond numeric range of the program"

Please see the attached file - if I try to enter "21px" (instead of the current 35.1px) into the "W" field of the lower red line in the selector tool, I get an error message that this is "Beyond the numeric range of the program", which I find slightly astounding ;-)

(Needless to say, if I manually resize the line with the mouse, I can reach 21px without problems, so this must be a bug

Feel free to move to "Dear Xara" forum if needed...

I think this has something to do with the height of the line. If the aspect ratio is unlocked it works just fine. I don't know what a height of 1mp is, though. One millipixel?

Another funny thing is, I selected everything and copied it into Xtreme Pro 5.1.1.9. The line then had a width of 35,4px, not 35,1px. It had a height of 0,3px, which is the line thickness of 0,25pix rounded up.

Interesting observation. Then the problem probably is that the already-thin "1mp" line height gets further reduced by my entry in the *other* input field, lower than the 1mp limit.

However, why doesn't it warn then if I scale the line with the mouse?

And then, the warning reads as if the newly entered width (length) was too short, not the internally-calculated new height (thickness).

Probably a border case, should be handled more gracefully though.

Unless I've misunderstood what the problem is, I have no trouble adjusting the width of the line to 21px or any other size.

I had the line size at 0.25 when I opened the file though.

File attached with the line at 21px.

how did you get width in px and hight in mp for the lines?

I am pretty sure this is not supported/supposed to happen ....

especially bearing in mind that the image is pixels for both width and hight in the same document

or am I missing something or seeing it different

I didn't do anything special, I'm innocent I just created a new photo document (the template didn't have "mp" as a unit, I'm sure!), imported the photo, drew a line, copied it, and...

Well, I guess I also scaled down the lines quite a bit by using the selector tool.

Maybe these lines are just too thin to work correctly. Probably scaling up the whole document content would fix this.

Anyway... I suppose this is for the "Dear Xara" forum...

Easily reproduced. Create a new document, set units to millipoint, and draw a horizontal line. Then change units to pixels, and presto, the width is displayed in pixels, but the height in millipoints.

Easy to reproduce in Designer Pro 6.

    I'm sure it's a bug.
If you drag one of the horizontal resize handles you will see the 'H' value reading in px, but as soon as you release, it reverts to 'mp'. Also, and here's the real bug, the line zips off somewhere below the page.
