    Default Cartoon Mouse

I haven't posted in a while. I just haven't had the time to work on drawing as much as I have wanted to. I traveled home this weekend and brought my graphics tablet and forgot my pen. Doh! (he says in true cartoon form). In any case I thought that I would post this as a work in progress.

This is supposed to be a mouse (though it kind of looks more like a rat to me). I'm not satisfied with it yet so I'm still working on it, but I would like any suggestions that anybody has for me.

    Hi Eric

    very nice cartoon drawing

what's wrong I think is the snout - its more dog/wolf than mouse/rat - this is to do with the 'boxy' shape - should be much rounder

as I have permission I have attached my take

the ears I like - these are good

I think to make it more mouselike.. might try making things stubbier. The long snout and long neck... just seems more rat like. Look at Tom and Jerry. With Jerry, he is just stubby all around.

Thats just my two Abe Lincolns.

Thanks for the tips. I'm still trying different things so I'll give your suggestions a try. I definately like Steve's nose suggestion. I am also not very happy with the hair but I'll get there eventually.
