    Default I can't resist trying a cartoon

Thought I would try a bird from the Hood with an attitude. I couldn't figure out how to do the shading for the ball cap so it looked right, any suggestions?

I like it. I think it has character. You did pull off the attitude part. Great job. I like the ball cap the way it is.

    Thanks for sharing.

Hi Merv, great work, i like it. I have only one suggestion if you you donīt mind, i my self donīt draw any cartoons, but i think that cartoon figures must be drawn in solid colours. ok and some light transparency for shading. I think so.
Anyway you did a great job with your cartoon. like it.
I drew a copy of your cartoon, if i have your permission to post it in your thread, i will do it to show you what i mean.

OK Merv, here is the xar file and like what i said i donīt draw cartoons.
Itīs only suggestion of me to use solid colours in your drawing cartoons and not to much fractal fill, only shapes + solid colours + some transparency for shading, give it a look and let us see your new version again. and if you need any help or have a question, we are all here.

Thanks BP for the Xara file and the website, it is indeed full of useful information. I don't think I will really get into cartooning, I just did the attitude bird for fun
