Default My First Xara html site

    Here you go:
    http://johnmidgleyinternational.com/
The site was originally designed bye my wife (a graphic designer) and built by me in Flash (Hey I'm an animator). I have just re done the whole thing using Xara Web and XDP6.
I must say I think that this is the way forward as far as I am concerned.

Thumbs up Re: My First Xara html site

I love it Dave. Even some of our bandwidth challenged member will be able to see the site without having to wait. Just enough Flash to add life to the site without making a full blown production out of it.

I think the Flash in small doses is the way forward though the thought of re-doing my Flash portfolio site makes me want to hide in a dark room.

When I have time I'll need to figure out a way of having Flash animate my buttons on and then replacing the final position with a html page....that sounds like dark room territory too :-)

Nicely designed site. Although I am very confused as I can only see 1 flash animation. And why are the rings published as separate images instead of a single grouped image. I don't think years’ needs an apostrophe.

Thanks for the site check. The apostrophe was a typo and I forgot to group the rings.
There is only one Flash animation on the home page. It's much calmer that way :-)

Nice site! And although I only have English at 'O' level grade I beg to differ...

I think years should have an apostrophe i.e. 30 years' publishing experience. It's a possessive something or another.

No apostrophe needed, but grammatically it should be "30 years of publishing"

I do believe that John (neodist) has it right.

    It's a bit like radio 4 in here :-)

According to the client the text should be: 30 years'. Without the apostrophe it should be: 30 years of publishing experience.

So. the apostrophe is back in.
