    Default Closing line with enter

    In previous Xara versions I could close an open shape (a line with start and end anchor points not connected) by pressing enter when using the Line Tool. It seems it doesn't work anymore - is it so?

    I also tried adding enter to custom shortcut keys, but of course it just closes the window when I press enter in the shortcut keys window.

    I am using Xara Designer 6 Pro.

    Works for me Paul, as long as one of the end nodes is selected.

    agree Paul - 'enter' [bottom right next to numpad] does not seem to work any more

    return still does

    Actually, neither Enter/Return key works for me, and I have one of the end/start nodes selected.

    And yes, my keyboard is black (well, at least darkish), but I guess that's because my laptop is black (OK, not really, but really dark grey).

    But wait! There is more: my workstation is black and that keyboard is actually black! Maybe it is a keyboard issue :-) Where is my trusty old Keytronic keyboard, you know one of those made before manufacturing moved to Mexico (not having anything against Mexico though)

    oh no - this is sounding technical !

    well, assuming that the two keys do everything else they are supposed to - if your keyboard is not us/uk, and/or your language settings are not us/uk then maybe there's a conflict there..

    I bow out at this point, my knowledge exhausted....

    ""by pressing enter when using the Line Tool. It seems it doesn't work anymore - is it so?""

    Hi Paul.........as far as I know, it never did, using just the poor man's version of Xara all my life.
    Godda use the shape editor tool, don't you know.

    I think that should work. Line tool might work in the pro version, wouldn't know about that myself..................frank

    It is yuk-black but it tells me what time it would be if we weren't an hour ahead so it must be clever

    How daft though! Two buttons called the same thing but doing different things

    To get back on topic, I can confirm Paul's observation, closing an open shape with enter works in version 4 and 5 on this PC but not with DP6 or P&GD6.
