XWD6 Loading time

Whenever I click on WD it takes an increasingly amount of time to load.
ATM its 40 seconds, when it used to be 10.
However if I exit out and come back a few mins later its fine. If I left it an hour or more then its slow again
There are no existing webs present on loading.
I know it could be my system but this happens even it nothing else is running !

Any help would be gratefully received, duly noted and mentioned in dispatches

I suggest you schedule a scandisk for next boot and the run a defrag.
This may or may not help, but try this first.

thanks for moving this post to the right place ...
I tried that and no change. I just wondered if WD6 is a strain on processing power as other programs including flash 8 are much quicker to load.
