Tint over image when printed

Hi there, I am a complete newbee to Xara extreme 5 and am trying to design the logo for our new deli. On screen the artwork looks fine, but when I print it out there is a tinted box covering just the artwork and not the text, is this to do with the trace? I can't send all the artwork for the flyers etc to the commercial printer if this is how it's going to appear. Cheers Janeysc

I think people might be better able to help if they could see the image / file in question... can you attach a screenshot and the xar file - possibly a photo of the print out?

Agree with Ampa. If you can attach your XAR file we will be happy to have a look. And how do you plan to use the logo? For print? For the web? For both?

Are you printing the logo on white paper? I wonder if it is possible that the background of the logo (if you have a rectangle behind the logo) is not quite white. This might cause the logo to print out with a tint.
