    Here was the image from the September 2003 Xara tutorial in which I added some bubbles to the soap image at the end of the tutorial. Circular bubbles are easier because of Xara's Circular and Elliptical fills. Odd shaped bubbles are harder but definitely not impossible to do. Just takes more work and imagination.

    Here is my attempt. Basically a step-blend between two identical outline shapes, different colored outlines, feathered. Internal fractal cloud filled shapes. with shadow. Over old photo of bay wetlands. -AF

    True, my piece does look a little odd. It's not really suppose to reflect anything real. I just thought I'd thrash around and see what I could come up with.
    Even though this first attempt didn't compare with the real bubbles, it did lead me to an important conclusion: I think that with time and experimentation I should be able to create a respectable vector giant bubble!
    So this little exercise was worthwhile after all. - AF

    I like your little bubble Dominique. although it does not look too much like a soap bubble. Needs some rainbow effects I think.

    I know I should be working on the paying jobs, but...

    Hey Andy - How's that deck after all this rain?

    After having lived in Marin Co. for 16 years I cannot look at a redwood deck without thinking of what is going on underneath it

    And here is your ultimate soap bubble screen saver:

    http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/source...glx/helios.zip

    Pls read the installation instructions, and be warned: it might put a hughe workload to your CPU, so while the screensave on your laptop is active you'll hear your fan blowing to the max ;-}
