You can not edit code as it is only produced on export. But you can insert custom code fragments into exported pages using code placeholders.

    Hi covoxer,

So, Webdesigner 6 is totally visual - WYSIWYG. Is this correct? I thought it was something similar to Dreamweaver. I see that you use the software. What is your opinion about it?

Allows it us to create good and beautiful websites, even without using the templates? Can you share some website created with Webdesigner 6?

And, after the export process, can I edit the html, open again the file on Webdesigner, see the changings and repeat this process once and once again?

    Thanks for your help!

Not like Dreamweaver. Xara is not a HTML editor, it's a HTML generator.
There is no internal HTML during the design stage. Only when you export it.

No - Xara cannot open HTML or edit previously exported .htm pages

    Hi Sledger,

    Thanks for your help!

Your opinion, please: Webdesigner 6 allows us to create quality websites, in an easy way, even if we don't use the templates and start all from scratch?

And, can we create both fluid and fixed layouts, and to center the website on the center of the browser?

    Thanks again.

Correct - I never use design templates for any website I create.

Websites created with Xara are always centred by default.
Only fixed layouts are possible. Fluid (dynamic) sites are not (they would not be WYSIWYG)

    Hello sledger,

I would like to thank you very much for all the support you are providing me. I am assured that I take the right decision when purchasing Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 6. The Talkgraphics.com community is fantastic.

So, regarding Webdesigner 6, I am a little lost on it. I could not find yet how to start a website from scratch. Is there some tutorial, manual, page, video, etc, that shows the process of the first website creation from scratsh?

    Thanks again!

This is a big subject to answer. My advice is that you look through the various free resources and tutorials by numerous famous members to build up your knowledge of the program piece by piece.
You will soon learn that creating your own unique designs is quite simple and a lot of fun.

I will take a look on the thread you suggested, sledger. Thanks.

So, was your website developed with Webdesigner 6? Entirely? From the scratch? Wow! Fantastic!
