Default suggestions for emulating a table...

    Hi,

I'm redoing a client's ancient site using WD6. One of their pages uses a table to align text & graphics (http://www.scssa.com/page4.html if you're interested).

I've linked the email address to the person's name, but am puzzled a bit on how to get the graphic easily lined up with the text on the same line. I'd used the text tool to get everything but the graphic to line up.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks!

Have you tried using the guides layer, dragging some guides onto the page and enabling 'snap to guides' ?
Also try to make use of the Object Alignment tool.

    Hi Steve,

Nope, hadn't thought of that. Hadn't come across a need to align stuff yet, so I wasn't sure what was available. That looks easy enough. Thanks much!

    Ben,
there is a website that offers a small program called XXFX that specifically makes tables for Xara: http://www.xxfx.co.uk/
I've used it and it seems to work OK, although a little crude.

    Jim
