I was playing around and made this world power button icon. I am trying to grasp the web 2.0 style so anyone with suggestions on how I can improve this I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

I made a few more tweaks. I think this look a bit more "web-ish". What do you think?

I think the second picture looks a lot better.

I'm just not too sure about the blue glow around the button,
In my opinion, the outer edge is the blue glow is a bit too sharp.

Yeah,

I think you are right. I modified that a bit and worked further on the globes glass like quality. Here is my latest version

Ok, last time (I get kind of consumed once I start on an image I guess). I needed to change the leading edge on the red bar. I am happy with it now.

You got me interested and I just had to have a go!

I tried to keep close to your original but I have changed the power symbol a bit closer to what I think it should be.

My blue glow is a bit brighter than your. You could make yours a bit brighter but blur the edges a bit more. In fact, I might want to blur mine a bit more!

Anyway, here is my version.

OK, my latest go. I liked your rounded bar much better so I snagged that idea and incorporated it into my version. I also made my glow a bit brighter and tried to feather it out more but it is larger than before.
