Failed Save

When I have saved a file numerous times I get this error message:
I can save it to another name but not the one with the error message.
This is quite annoying. Also if I make a copy and delete all the original files
then I can save again in the original name.

I think you can.

From time to time, a program can get a wild hare up its bum (this is the technical explanation) and act like that. So yes, save the file with a new name. If that file then opens without problems, delete the corrupted file and re-save the file with the desired name.
