Is it possible to unlock the page background and get the background rectangle into photoshop for editing

Yes the background its a rectangle, or you can make a new recangle and send the layer to background.

Just make a rectangle and drag it to the background layer, if you want to edit in photoshop use a bitmap fill for this background
if you say the white backround (default) its not possible

I can do backgrounds in photoshop save them as a jpg then drag and drop into XX5 but is it possible to do it the other way round

Hi Clive,

You can create a shape or drawing or anything that you want in XX5 and export that as a jpg an import that into photoshop, sure. It isn't necessarily a "background" but it is a bitmap or raster or whatever you want to call it.

Or are you talking about a background graphic from one of the pre-existing templates in the design gallery? If so it should still be possible to do.

Perhaps if you post a xar file and walk us through what you want to do, we might be able to help you further.

I’m only a XX5 novice I can manipulate photoshop CS3 easier ( I’ve just purchased CS5 it’s awesome)
