    Default Trouble with placeholder

    Good evening,

I'm having quite a bit of trouble formatting a page in WD6.

I have a html table in a placeholder, but when I preview the page, the page is way too long, my footer is a mile south than it should be.

I have attached the file, if anyone can help, it would be hugely appreciated

    Hi Jim,

I haven't been able to understand why yet, but something is causing the space below your table to be shown before the footer starts. If you move the bottom of your footer to the bottom of the table and decrease the length of the page to the bottom of the table, the page shows as you want it to.

I suspect the table code in the place holder, but I haven't been about to find anything yet.

Not sure if its a problem with the code: cell-padding or something which is leaving a lot of space at the bottom of the placeholder, I don't know enough to help on that. I'm sure someone will be able to give a definitive answer.
In the meantime its quite easy to get lined up visually with a bit of playing around, just move the whole footer + the 2 l/h images 'up' to where you see in the attached image. When I previewed it looked okay.

OK.... I have a solution for you.

If you notice (or at least on my screen it looks this way) the table drawn on your page (i.e. not in the preview) looks a bit fuzzy. However it looks very clear when you preview it. This is what lead me to try the following.

Unclick the 'Lock Aspect Ratio' button
Reduce your table placeholder by 200 (to 1350pix). Don't worry about how the preview looks.
Re-adjust your table to be right under the navbar
Move your footer up the 200pix
Adjust your page size to be 200pix shorter.
    Preview.

    It looks perfect, Yea!

    @ AntsInPants,

No worries...it happens to me all the time.

If you want the editor view to match the preview try adding the style code below at the top of your placeholder code.

    Code:
    <style>td{font-size: 13px;}</style>

    Tom's solution is best.
I'd also remove all those classes too, they are irrelevant without the corresponding style sheet.
