    Default Aborting current operation

Applying bevels, contours or live effects to complex shapes can sometimes take a long time (or forever). It would be nice if one could abort the current operation by pressing escape.

Yes that would be helpful but only occasionally. I found that more memory helped when rendering complex brush strokes.

I can remember occasions where I accidentally selected very complex objects or clicked on the wrong effect and I basically had to walk away and come back later or hard boot.
