Default Save "Export Site To Local Disc" info.

WD6 now includes feature to save FTP information which is a great feature. Would also me nice if there was option to save location of where exported site is saved to on local hard drive.

I assume you mean to embed in the file the 'Last Export Path' ?

This would be useful I agree.

Sorry I wasn't clearer. Hopefully the attachment will explain it better.

+1. This option would help assure that republishing a website after editing would only involve uploading changed pages and elements (provided the "Republish changed files only" option is checked).

Thumbs up Re: Save "Export Site To Local Disc" info.

Yep an option to specify and save a local export location with each website file would be great.

Might be too difficult to achieve this, but from a usability point of view it would be good to have this feature as an option in the publish menus if possible. (I.e. "Publish to Local Drive"). That's where it belongs, or at least also belongs.

I spent quite a bit of time trying to work out how to publish to the hard drive and didn't realise that exporting meant local publishing.

    Just a thought.

    Ali
