appointments or schedules

Has anyone any info on how to do a website which would include some form of appointments or schedules option. The customer would like to give the option for a client to schedule appointments form there website, then show a calendar showing the confirmed date & time. She would also like to text or auto email the client a reminder the day before. She doesn't want to $40 a month to some outside company, but would like it intergrated into the website. I sugjested just setting up a form, but she wants to see if there are other options out there. Any help would be greatly appreciated friends. Thanks in advance.

Web Designer is not capable of that kind of scripting and database functions.

I think your client needs to be a little more realistic about what it takes (in $'s) to set up exactly what they want.

My only suggestion is to setup a google calendar. These can be shared with nominated people and embedded on a page using the code Google provides.
You can also set them up to send an SMS (text) or email at a specific time.

I've done 2 websites that have embedded Google calendars. Here's one that's pretty extensive and intended for several people to be able to update it:

I will give this a try, how do you set up members to be able to log in so they can add changes to the google calender? Or this not possible? I really appreciate your help. Thanks so much.

Select to 'Share' the calendar and then add their email addresses.
Also add the permissions to allow.

That always in place tab is so nice on that site, would be cool it can be done along with a sub-menu in WD-6.
