Constrain pen tool

I keep trying to use Ctrl to align nodes (angle constraint)
But it does not seem to work with the Pen tool like it does on the Shape editor tool. Perhaps im doing something wrong.....

CTRL+drag to constrain around start.
SHIFT+CTRL+drag to constrain around previous point handle.
SHIFT+ALT+CTRL+drag to constrain around next point handle.

im used to constrain being the same across all tools... its nice to have such things uniform as little inconsistencies can cause the odd little frustration for me anyway .... but i think i'll survive.

P.S.(Man you've nearly clocked up 15000 posts . Lets see 5000 would be a handshake, 10k perhaps a gold pen.... you know i think your gonna get an ipad this time. well it would be nice)
