    Default Russian doll filing

I have a one page website with a few png's and a couple of jpgs, a small music swf and a countdown timer .

When I export it I see the index file and the index htm folder BUT inside the html folder is another index file with html file folder and inside that another exactly the same and so on and so on.

I gave up drilling down at ten html folders !!

Please not another bug with XWD6

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong.

I'd upload it here but its 16 meg !!!

this is the temp site though http://bit.ly/amjHCw

I know about the timer btw

You page size is only 850 k so there must be something wrong with your published material. Since there is not much in your web page have you deleted your folder and started again? That's what I would do with a corrupted file.

    Thanks for replying Albacore.

Each time I export the one and only page with the few elements to my hdd the files are repeated over and over again.
I can delete the files on the hosting site, yes, but its a pain to go into the hdd file and drill through every repeating folder and delete the copied files before I can publish it !

Perhaps you could try this: copy the contents of the page, close it, create a new page and paste the web page elements into it. Now export it to a new folder and see if this works as intended.

    Hi Dr_Who,

If you believe it is the *.web file which is causing this, please post it for examination.
Not much can be done without knowing a cause.

Sorry to take so long to get back to this problem.
I have re-installed Vista over the weekend and we all know how much fun THAT is !!

I am still getting the same problem, please attached .web and jpeg of the file tree left after exporting and the document info jpeg.

This does not happen with another site I have with multiple page, just this one page site.

    Any help is always appreciated.

Your file exports correctly every time. Nothing is repeated here, always exports as expected. I can't even force the error you have reported.
Unless John has a clue then I would suggest this is either an unknown user error or your Tardis is in a temporal loop

Unless you can list step by step instructions on how to repeat this, then it's unlikely a WD bug.

    Hi Dr_Who,

These guys answering the questions really know WD software to the ultimate level. If they can't repeat the problem then it's probably not the software.

A suggestion or 2 for you:

    Check your memory
Check the integrity of your hard drive
    Check your drivers are updated
    Bios is updated....

All those things can create the types of problems your displaying.

I used to be in PC support and s/w installation....these are pretty common symptoms of the above issues......

Hopefully you'll find the answers to the questions...but as far as the Xara s/w is concerned, it's ACE....
    Ed......:-)

All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you.
