Default Slide show with out clicking on the picture

I know I can make a slide show using Flash on a set of images on a static page. In ver 6 I see now that you can do the same on a picture pop out when you select it. This does not seem to use Flash. With the numbers of portable devices out there that cannot run flash at the moment I'm keen to use just Java to produce the animation if possible.

When I say animation I'm talking about smooth transitions between slides.

    Is it possible?

    Thanks again.

There are some transition tweaks for the HighSlide.js..

However, perhaps this might be usefull too?
See the small slideshow bottom right of this page:

This is a single PHP file dropped into the remote folder of images. Nothing more to do.
The URL to the slideshow is placed into an iframe. The placeholder determines the size of the slideshow images as the PHP dynamically sizes them.

Pretty cool little piece of code. I used it on this homepage for a softball team.

    Thanks
