Default Gnat catcher my backyard buddy

This little guy and his mom hang out in my garden and catch all the bugs, they are fun to watch.

Nice shots Ontos. I like the clarity/focus of the first one ... and composition/colour wise it almost looks like he is part of the tree there.

Birds can be tricky subjects, they move so quickly. I recently tried to take some shots of bluetits for my picture 'Garden Visitors' and spent the best part of a morning getting a lot of blurry shots of them flying away or jumping/moving about. But then again I'm certainly no David Bailey. Maybe it's time to upgrade our camera as it is fairly old now.

    Regards

Thank you Su for your kind comments. I was trying out a new 70-300 lens, I like it so far. I do find it difficult to get good shots of birds, as you say they seem to be constantly moving. Someday I would like to capture a Hummingbird in flight, just a dream I think
