    Default A Couple of Questions

I have a couple of questions regarding how to work with curves on page elements.

My first question is: How do you give a page rounded corners?

My second question is: When creating an element with the rectangle tool, is it possible to create curves on only the top, bottom, or sides of the rectangle, leaving other sides straight?

I've looked for an answer but haven't found how to do this yet.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Pixelpusher:

when you have made a rectangle look above on the tool bar for a curve. Click it to set curve then move the nodes to suit. If you mean the background corners then this link might be what you are looking for?

To make only the top rounded. I have put a small rectangle above it on the buttom and then grouped the two together.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Pixelpusher,

    Rounding corners of the background:

Hold down the Alt key and click drag a color (you can choose white if you want the backgrount to stay white) from the color bar onto the workspace (big white rectangle.
Open the Layer Gallery and you will now notice a locked layer called background.
Unlock the layer (by clicking the red lock in the layer gallery next to Background layer)
Using the slect tool select the background rectangle.
Keeping the backgorund rectangle selected, select the rectangle tool.
Move your mouse to any corner of the background rectangle and double click.
    Now the corners are rounded.
It might be a good idea to re-lock the background layer so you don't have to worry about it moving around on you later.

Apply a curve to one side of a rectangle, while keeping the others straight:
    Create your rectangle.
With it still selected press Ctrl+1 (this makes the shape an editable shape)
Use the Shape Editor to bend the sides that you wish.

    I hope that helps.
    Eric
