Is there any way (relatively simple) to gain access to a MySQL database for presentation on a Webdesigner 6 generated site?
I have a database of members etc which I would like to present on my website. Dynamic.
TIA

Have you tried using an iframe to display an external page which connects to the db?
I used this method here (see the four plans)
I am intrigued.
I am familiar with the use of iframes but don't know how I would generate and format the external page from my database.
Is there a tutorial or tool out there that could help me on the path?
Many thanks

Web Designer has no facility to connect to databases.
What I am suggesting it that you simply load an already existing page into an iframe placeholder in WD6.
This already existing page will be somewhere on your server and already setup to connect to mysql.
But you sound like you have yet to create the page that connects?
Learning how to connect to a mysql db via php scripting and then loading the data from the tables into a formatted page is a complicated process and not one for discussion in the Xara Web Designer forum.
Thanks again.
I will look elsewhere for the necessary info for creating the pages.
I have no problem in undertaking the journey. Every day a little wiser.
Thanks and regards.
