3D installation problems

I dowloaded the trial, to try of course. Well I can't get past the dialog box that says Xara3D6 is configuring your new software installation. It stayed there all night. if I cancel it the dialog doesn't go away. And it will not run. Getting error "failed to create WebFialeUpdater object. Try reinstalling Xara3D6"

I am using win 7 64bit

I sent a support request on the 24th of March but I have not heard anything from support. Are they still selling and supporting that product? Is it too old for 64bit? or Win 7? They asy it runs on Vista but no updates for 7.

Whether using the 32bit or the 64bit version of Windows 7, Xara3D6 runs in XP compatibility rather than native Windows 7 mode.

I looked at the compatibility and it was set for XP sp2. I checked the setting for all users but still the same. stands still, and the set will not close, I have to go into Task manager to stop the process to close out that session. I noticed that even tho I started the process only once there are two instances of Xara3D6DL.exe *32 running. Still will not install.

Have you tried installing with your anitivirus and other security software turned off?

I haven't had any issues running X3D6 on Windows 7 64bit.
