page width in web

i have chosen 955 pix page width but to fit google ad box to the right of my site i need a bit more room - 20 pixels or so (dont want to reduce the ad box size) is there any reason why i cannot just grab the page out a little wider obviously it could end up on some browsers with a small horizontal bar but apart from that any probelms?

None at all. Just place your mouse cursor over the right edge of the page and drag to the size you require.

Just as an FYI: on my system it sometimes takes a second or 2 for the cursor to change to the one for adjusting the page size. I have to put the selector tool over the edge of the page and wait for it to change before I can adjust page size.
