    Pretty butterfly Steve.
Why do you think ther is a difference in coloring? Could one possibly be male and the other female?

I hadn't thought about the sex Larry, but these photos are of the same specimen topside and underside.

OK thanks, that makes it clear.
It hadn't occured to look at it that way.
I guess I hadn't looked at it closely enough.
How would a person tell the difference in the sex's anyway.
That kind of reminds me of a joke.

I like to under colors. If I was the butterfly with to top colors, I'd probably fly at night. The colors and patterns may be defensive to keep from being eaten. The under colors may have a pattern. I wonder if they simulate something where they live.

    Hi Steve,
It's 4 years since you posted this, I hope you are still active here. Just wondering if there's any way I could acquire a hi-res copy of your Graphium Sarpedon photo - ID 71070. I'd really like to print a big poster of it (for my house) as it reminds me of my happier days of childhood. Hope you will respond soon.
    Kind regards,
    btd314.

    Hi Steve,
I'd really like a hi-res copy of your Blue Triangle butterfly above - ID 71070. Is this possible? It's just for a poster for my house. It takes me back to good days as a kid and I've seen a few around lately which has been a beautiful thing. Hope to hear from you soon.

    Kind regards,
    btd314
