Default WD6 Bug: Link to Web or EMail Address

I've noticed that when adding a link to a web address in Web Properties and clicking Apply, the link disappears. You then have to reinsert the link and hit apply before the change takes place. Any idea as to why this is happening? It makes for two times the work.

For example, I create text to use as a link: "Airport Delays"

I highlight the line of text and select "Web Properties."

I choose "Link to Web or EMail address" and in the box, I paste the web address that the link should take the visitor to, and then I hit "Apply."

The link that I've pasted in the box disappears after I've clicked "Apply" and I have to paste the link a second time and hit apply before the change will take effect.

This happens every single time for me with copy and pasted links.

Perhaps it is just my copy of WD6 (purchased, not the trial version.)

Licensed or trial only, it's the same version.

I followed your steps but I can't repeat the error.

I appreciate you looking into it, but it really is happening. The difference that I've noticed from what you did is that instead of clicking on the link tab in the toolbar, I right-click on the highlighted text and select web properties from there. I haven't tried it the other way.

OK. Just tried your right-click method - still working for me.

Do you have a Microsoft mouse with intellipoint drivers installed?

No, mine is the Kensington wireless setup. The Pilot Board Wireless Desktop set to be exact.
