Strange PDF Output - X5

I created a logo in Xara and exported it as a pdf. I've started to do some work for my company and they use indesign. But I've also used Draw in the past and wanted to use it too to see differences.

I created a document in both DrawX5 and Indesign CS4 using the logo from Xara. When I published the document as pdf for printing there was some obvious problems with Draw. For one thing the logo was rough. For another there is a band of shifted material in the logo.

I have attached a screen shot of both documents. Does anyone know why this might happen and how to stop it?

Make sure to convert text to curves first before saving or exporting to pdf.
