    Default Animation in true color?

    Greetings:
I am returning to Xara3d after several years and find that I can't get the animation feature to work like it used to. There is no option to use true color in the animated gif which leaves the color looking terrible. I have old animations that the drop shadow was soft and natural looking. What I am getting with Xara3d version 6 is a real dark shadow. I know I must be missing something here, but I have searched the web and can't seem to find an answer. Any ideas what I am doing wrong??
    Thanks in advance
    Mz Lisa

There is no such thing as true color GIF let alone the true color animated GIF.

Try adding the background of the same correct as will be used on the page.

Yes, I should have explained better.... I realize there is no such animal, but I can't understand why the animation I used to get had the true color quality and now dosn't...

Most likely it had the shadow areas not transparent but instead they simply matched the background well.
Try adding the background of the same color as will be used on the page.

Or, if you have some GIF's with the effect you like to reproduce, simply attach them so we can see what you mean.

As you can see MzLisa has the nice soft shadow...

Ok, so this is exactly what I was talking about. This doesn't have any smooth shadow at all. But it has a white background so it looks well on the white background. I have placed it on the blue background so that you can see what parts of this image are transparent and which are not. As you can see, there's no smooth transparency at all.

If you want to achieve similar result, simply apply the white background in X3D.

I am not sure I follow... both examples are on a white background and the first is nice and smooth.. able to be placed on any background later.. the second example the shadow is dark and muddy looking and would look like hell... I want to reproduce the MzLisa shadow.

Lisa, please listen to me. Set the white background color in the W3D.
