    Photo Rainbow Lorikeets

A bunch of noisy Rainbow Lorikeets in the Umbrella Tree (Octopus Tree) at the bottom of the garden.
Needed the 18x250mm zoom for this one..

Flighty little buggers always knew when I was about to press the shutter release. I caught these two though.

Thats a really nice image I like that a lot, beautiful birds we dont get anything like that in the UK lucky if we see a piegon (flying rat to those in the know ) I live near the coasr and do see th odd seagul now and then usually the size of a small dog god knows what they feast on

Nice clarity as well in that image my zoom on my cam is rrrrrubbish zooms in nice but loses focus too easily going to have to get a decent camera this year

They are absolutely beautiful! That tree looks pretty amazing too. Even though they had to truck in snow for the olympics it is still pretty cool and wet here, not much in the way of blossoms yet or birds although I did see a robin the other day. You must have some pretty amazing wildlife there.

Very nice shot Steve. Is this a full frame or a clipped image? I like the composition and was wondering if it was achieved in post process.

The sun broke through later this afternoon for just long enough to grab a few more shots of the Lorikeets before the food supply is done.

    Nice shots Steve.

The cockatoo looks like one a friend had years ago. He named it Cujo because it took a chunk of flesh out of his thumb.
