No need to apologize woodwater. We've all been there and we're all still learning. I've done quite a few of the tutorials on XaraXone to get where I am today. Even so, I still have those "Say what?", and "Why didn't that work?" moments. I still like doing a tutorial, or two, when I have the time and I don't think I've done a tutorial where I didn't learn something new.

Don't worry, you're progressing nicely even though it may be a tad frustrating at times. As long as you're willing to keep trying others on TalkGraphics will be willing to help you along. Eventually everything will click into place and you'll have one of those 'EUREKA' moments.

    Cheers,
    Harry

you have not closed the gap in the hat

you cannot break the shape until you have done this

you cannot expect it to work if you miss stages out recheck the tutorial

Info Re: Cost of making comics

handrawn is correct, your line is not a shape and it is in the incorrect place to perform the operations you need in your file.

Try this file I've attached. I've drawn the line where it needs to be and provided instructions to help you through this 'challenge'.

    Good luck,
    Harry

ok - you put a line across from the telescope to the pirate's eye - this is not what Paul said to do - he said to put a shape across the gap in the hat - ie draw a small rectangular closed shape, not just a line

if you do this [removing your line] and follow the tutorial it should work

EDIT - just seen Harry's post - you are getting a lot of good help here woodwater from forum members
