I'm new to the windows xara, I've been using the xaralx for a couple of years and love it, but since supoort was drop thought I'd look at xtreme 5. My question is does animation work in the trial version if so is there any tuts for beginners.
Thanks

Thanks . I've bookmark the links, it's now time to play. I love the way Xara works and it's speed, great program.
Good to have you at TalkGraphics Sawer.

Hi....I am looking for an open source prog to do the following job.
(I used to do this in A.Illustrator cs4, but my trial has finished)
Take a rectangular photo and AUTOMATICALLY distort it into another shape,
In AI, I put both pic and outline drawing together, with outline on TOP.
Then went Object/Convert to shape/Use top shape.
This would bend the photo into the new shape.
Could I do this in XaraLx 7.0 ?....or what other prog?
Many thanks.

Xtreme can do it with a lot less fuss than you did it in Illustrator by the look of it. Don't know about Xtrme lx - I thought that project had been discontinued.
Download the trial and do it in that, you'll get 15 days to use it and might even want to buy it by the end of the trial.

Masque, thanks for that. Please give me a step-by-step guide of how you do that.
Many thanks,
Oh, I also meant to say, I don't want to simply pull the shape into a new shape, but I want the pic to distort into an outline draw shape, eg the outline
of an irregular shape.
Adjusting the perspective is easy, see attached, as you are deforming a rectangle by stretching or shortening sides of the rectangle using the mould tool.
Try to do distort the image to a curve shape and all you end up with is your image in a curved frame, ie. cropped to the shape or sitting in the shape.
A shape of course can be filled with an image or a series of tiled images but the image will not distort to conform to the shape as with the 'splodge' with a dog in it.
