I have just downloaded the trial version of the foregoing software, it seems that I cannot Preview the Webpages, is this correct for the trial version?

I take it you are trying to preview within the software? If so it will only display the main "index" page unless you add a next page link somewhere, this can be temporary and can be removed before you make the site "live".

On a side note I always run a "test" folder on my server so that I can preview as I go along in a live environment.
