Default Transparent fade that follows a line shape

Don't know if this is possible, but I'd like to see a transparency fade that fades out following a line shape. A linear transparency fade, for example has a point of origin for one (usually 0% fade) to 100% fade. Rather than single directional as in linear, circular, or eliptical fade, I'd like to see that fades against a curved line.

I have needs to create an outline border around an irregular shape and the fade is 0% inward towards the object and 100% outward. Thus the origin of the fade direction is always along a contour line.

    Am I making sense?

    Hello Gameprinter,
You can achieve that using a blend.
1°- Draw your line and color it
2°- Draw the final line or copy the original and place it where you want the fade ends.
3°- Apply transparency to that line, in my example I applied a 100% of transparency
4°- Make a blend from the first line to final ones.
5° You can adjust the blend using profile button.
    I'm attaching an example
I hope it is what you are looking for,
    Best regards

In the case of shapes if the fade is identical in any direction the easiest way it to use the fade slider
But if the fade needed is not a contour you can use the same procedure We use with lines but with shapes.
    Best regards

Have you tried using a Feather?

I agree with covoxer. Use a line, feather it and clip along the centre.
