I have created some ebook cover graphics and Header for a customer but now he is asking for a matching background to go with his WordPress website. He can't give me the dimension requirements, etc and I have never made a background to be used in Wordpress. Can anyone here share any knowledge on the basic requirements for a simple background image for WP? Thanks much!

Hi Duane,

I've never worked with Wordpress so cannot speak from experience.

A google search returned many hits.

A tutorial for adding a background to a Wordpress theme:

Many of the sample background images appear to be seamless tiles.

Yeah, I did that same but I am not looking for the needed coding to set it up, just really the guidlines for the image itself. He really just needs a simple gradient but sadly I am not sure what needs to be done to the background to accomplish that and not make it a repeating image over and over. Perhaps that is controlled in the wordpress theme...who knows.
