Setting color line

I want to use a specific color range, for instance - blues -, and I set the color line at the bottom to display the range of colors I want to use. When I click off my object to create another object, the line goes back to default and I have to scroll back to the colors I want to use. Once I have scrolled to the desired colors, is there a way to set the color line to stay in the same place?

The default colour for objects is Black. With nothing selected the colour line will reset to show Black.

To have the colour line display a particular section you should set one of the colours within the area as the current document's default.

With nothing selected left click a colour and a dialog will open asking if you want to set the colour as the new default. Click the Set button.
