    Hi Michael,

Just noticed on your Kinogasa map title that you have Provice, not Province.....typo?

    Hope that's helpful.....

    Awesome maps and drawings btw......

Thanks for pointing that out, but that adventure was for a convention game, not something released as publicaion. Jonathan McAnulty, my lead designer ran this game at Origins Game Convention. If we ever release this to the public, I'll make sure I fix that typo.

In the meantime, its turns out that I needed another Tengu illustration, with one addition to the book along with a correction.

I have a need for a cover illustration for my next Kaidan patronage project - Obake: Bestiary of Kaidan (a Japanese monster book). Even though I may yet commission someone to do this. I thought I'd experiment in creating a Xara vector painting.

This is the Ao Nyobo or split mouth mouth. She is an accursed human. I used a geisha photo for reference. What do you think?

My plan is to have this Ao Nyobo on the right side, a Kitsune (fox woman demon) on the left, a yurei ghost in the top center and a bakeneko (demon cat) in the bottom center...

PS: and kind of cool, this thread has gotten over 20,000 views - that's got to be worth something?...

Update of the illustration - now I have a yurei ghost... (I'm starting to see a chauvanistic POV), oh well, the Japanese did seem to have lots of female monsters.

I think I'm done with this illustration. I am now calling it "Three Ladies of Kaidan"...

Interesting, I've been invited/recommended to do some freelance work - design an oriental capital for large publishing concern. They want me to not only design the map, but do some writing as in creating a gazetteer for their capital city. Hint, they aren't the people I work with in the industry now, rather the company that created the game system, my setting is based on.

No one has ever accused me of being a writer, though!

I may have some time in the next few months to fit something like that in. Its not something I've been working toward, just an opportunity that dropped in my lap today. Getting my name on one of their releases would do well for my name and acceptance in the industry for any of my own creations, like Kaidan.

    Geekgasm.

    Hi Michael,

Congratulation. What an awesome opportunity for you should you choose it.

Let me know if you need a proof reader....;-)
