Terrific Workbook Gary.
I may have over looked one thing. Does changing the line spacing, kerning, baseline shift, etc. affect text when exporting a web site?
I'm curious if the text will remain text or be exported as a graphic?

Great tutorial Gary,
This tutorial explains quite a lot 'bout the text tool, I learned a lot. Nice work

I've worked with text for many years, mostly in Microsoft Word and Publisher. I thought I knew about everything there was to know, but I learned a lot from your tutorial. Excellent!

Bill -I think that kerning, tracking and stuff like that will not transfer to the web and I would not even think of using it. Except if the text is being grouped to make it export as a bitmap.

Thanks Gary I thought that may be the case.

Great workbook! I learned some new things, and it reminded me of a couple things I'd forgotten about!
Thanks Gary

A great 'refresher' course on all the text capabilities. Thanks, Gary.

Great tutorial, Gary. Looks to be a great summary of text functions.
I have one question regarding the entering of text. How do you get around the situation where you may have entered text on a page by just clicking on a location and typing, but subsequently decide that the text should be a text area, or a text line?
I note that a text line can be easily changed into a text area and vice versa (might be something you could add to your tutorial).
However, I've never seen a method that would easily change "spot" text (for want of a better term), into either a text line or text area.
I currently do a select all, then copy, paste into a text area or text line. But I've always wondered if there is an easier way that I've just overlooked.
Copy and paste is the only way I know of to take a line of text and convert it to a text area.
