    =============================

Q: In your mind, what are Web 2.0 colors ??

As far as I am concerned, web 2.0 is a design concept, a trend.
The Xara amd Magix home sites could be regarded as Web 2.0

    Hi Isaac_cm,

    Create your button.
Apply a Linear Fill with the Fill tool. (click and drag with the fill tool selected is the easiest way to do this)
Make sure your fill arrow is vertical (pointed either up or down)
Grab a color you want to start with and drag it to the beginning of the arrow
Grab a color you want to end with and drag it to the point of the arrow.
    Resize your arrow as needed.
If you would like you can also place colors on the shaft of the arrow to have multiple gradients.

This is only one way of accomplishing what you want but is probably easiest to explain.

I believe that if you open the Xara Help file and search Gradient Fill, you would also find some of this information. Also if you view the Xara Movies (that I believe come with WXD) you would also find a video example of how to apply a gradient fill.

    I hope that helps.

thanks alot, one question please about the green button colors, is it dark gray on the bottom and light green on the top ?

also I see like 1 pixel white color border on the top, how I do that ? the shadow is of course easy.

    thanks

You can use your colour picker to pick colours from anywhere on your desktop or a web page. In this way you can practice copying colours and designs from sites you like until you get a feel for it.

Attached is my stab at imitating the site you referenced above.

Pick it apart to see how I went about it.

Probably the easiest and most precise way is to draw a 1 pixel white line across the top of the button.
