Export redundant files

Hi Everyone,

While constructing my site I have used various versions of flash videos and gif animations, with new versions replacing the older ones. When I export my site I get all of the old files included. These files are not used in the site at all but there they are in the exported folder.

Why would this be so? I had to make a list of 'in use' files and then delete all the redundant ones.

Yes it's a known bug.

When you first save the *.web file, Xara creates a local cache folder using the same name as the *.web file (in the same location you save the *.web file). In the folder it stores local copies of the flash resources you defined in the placeholder properties and previewed. Although you discarded the file in the design, the local cache folder still exists which results in the final .html export including all files in that cache folder.

To overcome this, delete that cache folder before you export.

This is good news, but where can I find the 'cache folder'? It's location remains a mystery.

There they are....Just like sledger said... "same location ...."
Was looking for them in the backup folder.

It is not easy. My Computer > AppData > Local > Xara > Web Designer > 6.0 > Cache
