After much trial and error, i noticed:
using the Player.swf works in Xara, IE8 & FF.
What does not work is:
having a flash place holder on the index page AND using the Player.swf
this is a code thing i don't understand, anyone in Xara land able to help?
What i'm trying to do:
1) index (home page) place holder with slideshow.swf
page 1
page 2
page 3
page 4 multiple audio samples (using Player.swf)

Actually this DOES NOT HAPPEN in FireFox.
IE8 will play the index slidshow, but will not load the Player.swf files.
As soon as i delete the Placeholder Slideshow.swf, and refresh the website, the audio works again.

Sadicus, can you please attach your *.xar file. It may be the only way for anyone to be able to help you.
Root Folder
................index.htm
................audio.htm
................Player.swf (mp3 player)
index_htm_files Folder - all page contents, and Flash slideshow and images
media Folder - this is where all mp3 and video files will be
here is a simple test setup with the Folder structure I use.
I noticed:
1) open the SlideShow.swf in Internet Explorer
2) copy the source code and Paste that into the placeholder. there is no conflict, but the Slideshow does not loop.

You're lucky, Sadicus, because Spinny posted today in a thread recapping the issue. In his words: "If you use the "replace with Flash" placeholder anywhere on your site, even on its own page, every other page on the site where you've included other Flash files via HTML replacement stops working in IE."
See post 29 (on page 3) in this thread: http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=39056
Please note that in this post he refers to Covoxer's solution that is mentioned in post 25 of that same thread.
I tried it out by replacing on the index page the "Replace with Flash" with "Replace with HTML Code" given by Covoxer. See attached file (to be used with the same auxiliary files that you included in your .zip file).
