The textures for both the inside and the skin seems excellent, just right. The only thing that needs work is where the stalk joins the fruit. Needs more of an indentation around the join.
I don't always want to be the one who points out where I feel it need a little more work, I just feel that if it has a weakness thats it.

    That's an excellent peel texture.

    Derek,
I believe this is a Navel Orange and the part you are referring to is actually the bottom of the fruit and not the top where it meets the stalk.

    angelize,
Personally, I think this is a great drawing and a good example of what Xara can do. Keep up the beautiful work. The textures are perfect.

Thank you all, for your comments. Yes it is supposed to be a navel orange. the textures were done with bitmap transparencies. All of the bitmaps are fills that came with Xtreme. The white part of the inside(the pith) was a snow fill, and each section was textured with a pebble fill. The peel was done with a rough glass fill. The trick is to make an object with a base colour, then clone it and make it a darker colour, then apply the fill as a transparency to the darker top object. By adjusting the fill handles, and the transparency levels for each handle you can make all kinds of textures from one bit map image.
