Repeating objects, how to stop it?

I have a few rectangles that are set to repeat. When I update repeating objects, the rectangles are updated unfortunately their vertical sized is updated as well.

Searching here it looks like the update repeating ends if you delete the parent object. So I deleted the rectangle on the index page, and copied new ones from another page. They still update.

How do I get an item to STOP repeating?

John, go to the Name Gallery --> Used Names ---> Delete the Repeating Name that groups those rectangles.
